PONTIAC – Services for Alice Evetta Jacobs, 90, of 78 Earline Road will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Spears Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Talbert-Shives Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jacobs, wife of the late Earl Jacobs, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1992. Born in Pontiac, she was a daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Laura Thomas Jacobs. She was a member of Spears Creek Baptist Church, where she was the former secretary and treasurer of the Women’s Missionary Society, taught the Ladies Bible Class and was training union director. She was also a former organist and pianist at the church for more than 30 years.

Surviving are daughters, Earline LeGrand and Annette Barton, both of Pontiac; a son, Otto Jacobs of Lugoff; a sister, Lois Lippard of Pontiac; brothers, A. L. Jacobs Sr. of Pontiac and Hazel Jacobs of Columbia; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Alice Evetta Jacobs, of Pontiac at 4 p.m. at Spears Creek Baptist Church. Talbert-Shives Funeral Home is in charge.
