Columbia – Services for Rubie Moore Pool, 76, will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am in Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Smyrna UMC or to Suber Marshall Memorial UMC Visitation is from 6:30-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pool died Monday, July 8, 1996. Born in Lugoff, she was the daughter of the late Robert Leslie Moore and Kate Branham Moore. She was a member of Suber Marshall Memorial UMC where she was the first pianist, sang in the church choir and was a lifetime honorary member of the board. She was a member of the Gideon’s Auxiliary, an associate member of the DAV and Recipient of sewing awards from Winthrop College.

Surviving are her husband, Otho S. Pool Sr. of Columbia, son, Otho S. Pool. Jr., and daughter-in-law, Joanne Hallman Pool of Columbia, daughter, Carolyn P Lomas and son-in-law, Christie B Lomas of Blythewood, brothers, Horace L. Moore of Ridgeway and Julian W. Moore of Lugoff, sister Willie Mae M. Rimer of Blythewood, grandchildren, Sherri P Allsbrook and her husband, G. Sydney Allsbrooks Jr., Wanda P Lindler and her husband, J. Kevin Linder, Orho S. “Rick” Pool III of Columbia, C. Rebecca Lomas, Jonathan M. Lomas and Charlotte G. Lomas of Blythewood, and great-grandchildren, Angela G. Allsbrook and Sydney A. Allsbrook of Columbia.
