Obituary

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lillian Mickle Reeves, 80, of Lugoff, SC, will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 23, 2017 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. Burial will follow in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Theil-Meyer Pet Adoption Center, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020.

Lillian died Friday, October 20, 2017. She was born in Camden, SC, the daughter of the late Robert Thomas Mickle and Henrietta Gurganus Mickle. Lillian was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She retired from the Kershaw County Health Department after 25 plus years. Lillian volunteered for Ronald McDonald House and Food for the Soul. When she was able, she loved to travel, bake, cook and spoil her children and grandchildren.

Lillian is survived by her husband, Gerald Archie Reeves, Sr.; daughter, Regina R. Kirkland (Richard) of Lugoff; son, Gerald A. “Jerry” Reeves, Jr. (Suzanne) of Camden; grandchildren, Tyler Anne Kirkland, Megan Annette Kirkland and Gerald Michael Reeves; sister, Joann Clark of Panama City Beach, FL and her brother, Bob Mickle of Georgetown, SC.

A special thanks to her caregivers, Comfort Keepers and the Staff at the Blake.
