LUGOFF – A memorial service for Charles V. Marthers, 66, will be held at a later date at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Marthers passed away at Prisma health Richland on Sunday, April 19, 2020. Born on July 26, 1953 in Ridgeway, he was the son of Naomi Kelly Brazell and the late Victor Charles Marthers. He enjoyed his job installing fences. He also enjoyed drag racing, spending time with family and friends, ad tending to his cats. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Mary Jo Wilson Marthers; daughter, Denise Marthers (Talmadge); brothers, George Marthers (Angie) and Michael Brazell; sisters, Penny Anderson (Tommy) and Patsy Westbrook; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Charlene Marthers; his father, Vic Marthers (Betty); sister, Diane Westbrook; and his dog, Plut.
