Obituary of Mary Alice Osmer

CASSATT – Funeral service for Mary Alice Ray Osmer, 81, will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Lugoff Church of God with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  Bishop Timothy B. Shirley will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lugoff Church of God Children’s Ministry.

    Mrs. Osmer passed away at home on Sunday, November 7, 2021.  Born in Cassatt, she was the daughter of the late Claude Ray and Viola Parker Ray.  She loved spending time with her family and friends and never met a stranger.

    Surviving are her husband of 23 years, Wayne Ernest Osmer; daughter, Vickie Shirley (Tim); son, Randy Lee Holshouser; siblings, Claude Ray Jr. (Ernestine), Clennie Ray (Margie), Louise Hall, Carolyn Morris (Tim), and Sarah Branham (Pete); grandchildren, Christina Self (Scott), Frankie Holshouser (Carrie), Amanda Watkins (Michael), Erica West, Brandy Samuel (Deaunte), Meagan Holshouser (Brendon Railey), Aaron Jeffcoat (Natalie) Sammy Truesdale (Amanda); 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.  She was predeceased by sons, Rickey Holshouser, Aaron Holshouser and Daron Holshouser; and siblings, Geneva Lyles, Jessie Anderson, Charles Ray and Vera Stevens.
