Vote for The State’s Midlands high school football player of the week: 10.10.22

It’s time to vote for The State’s high school football Player of the Week from Midlands-area games played Oct. 8. Voting ends Friday at noon. The winner will be announced on Lou Bezjak’s Twitter page.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.

Kelvin Blackwell, DT, Gilbert: Junior had five tackles, three for loss, and returned a fumble for a touchdown in a win over Swansea.

AJ Brand, QB, Irmo: Sophomore was 8-of-13 passing for 205 yards, two TDs and carried it 10 times for 102 yards, two touchdowns in an overtime loss to Ridge View.

David Copley, LB, Camden: Senior had seven tackles, five quarterback pressures, 3½ sacks and a fumble recovery in a win over Darlington.

Bryce Craft, RB, Ben Lippen: Senior carried it 18 times for 213 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Trinity Collegiate.

Thompson Dubose, WR, Heathwood Hall: Senior caught 6 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Camden Military.

Caleb Ford, RB, Gray Collegiate: Sophomore carried it 25 times for 140 yards and two TDs in a win over Fairfield Central.

Jarvis Green, RB, Dutch Fork: Senior carried it 22 times for 150 yards, 137 in the first half, in a win over White Knoll.

Jayden Harrison, RB, Westwood: Senior carried it 31 times for 183 yards and a TD, and caught two passes for 26 yards in win over Lugoff-Elgin.

Jack Moseley, H-back, AC Flora: Senior had eight pancake blocks, graded out at 96 percent and caught a pass for 10 yards in a win over RNE.

Adonis McDaniel, WR, Ridge View: Senior caught eight passes for 144 yards, a TD and also returned a kickoff for a touchdown in an overtime win over Irmo.

Rafael McKinney, DL, CA Johnson: Senior had 17 tackles, one for loss, in a win over Great Falls.

Jarrod Mewborn, WR, Lexington: Senior caught 5 passes for 135 yards and three touchdowns in a win over River Bluff.

Hernandez O’Neal, QB, Keenan: Senior was 17-of-23 passing for 303 yards, four touchdowns in a win over Columbia.

Dylan Richardson, QB, Hammond: Senior was 4-of-8 passing for 84 yards, two touchdowns and carried it seven times for 61 yards, two touchdowns in win over Cardinal Newman.

Edward Robinson, DL, Blythewood: Junior had 10 tackles, 5 for loss and two sacks in win over Nation Ford.

Bryce Satterwhite, QB, Newberry: Sophomore was 12-of-15 passing for 148 yards, three touchdowns and one rushing TD in a win over rival Mid-Carolina.
