Obituary

Myrtice Joyce Fye was born on May 5, 1943, to the late Hartford and Matt Anderson Jones, in Brooklyn, New York.  She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at her home in Elgin, South Carolina.

Myrtice received her early education in the schools St. Prius Catholic School and graduated from John Adams High School in Queens, New York. She received her Bachelor Degree in Economics from York College in Queens, New York and her Master’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Education from University of South Carolina.    

She loved music and traveling.  She got into the foster program working with YAP and other agencies for over thirty years.  This is where she gained some bonus kids to add to the family.

Myrtice was preceded in death by her parents, Hartford and Matt; her siblings, Eddie and Barbara and her children, Myrtice (TC) and Toinette (Tony).  
She is survived by her children, Albert, Yvette and James; her grandchildren and her bonus children and grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
