Obituary of Peggy Branham

ELGIN – A graveside service for Peggy Lois Kelly Branham, 81, will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. in Centerville Cemetery.  Bishop Brad Moore will be presiding.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Ridgeway Ward prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pathways Hospice.

Mrs. Branham passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, September 15, 2023.  Born in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Grover Kelly and Ruby Lois Motley Kelly.  She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Ridgeway Ward where she happily shared her talent as the church pianist/organist for over 60 years. She also held many positions and touched many lives. She was a great example of service to others. She was also a member of the Blythewood Historical Society and was an avid reader. 

Mrs. Branham was known for her loving spirit and adored her family.  Her grandchildren gave her so much joy and she leaves a legacy of love for them to carry on. 

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 58 years, Jerry Woodie Branham; daughters, Susan Branham Alder (Blake) of Elgin and Tracy Branham Crosby (Chris) of Elgin; son, Anthony Wayne Branham (Stacy) of Elgin; grandchildren, Morganne Alder, Samuel Crosby (Porsche), Lindsay Branham, Mackenzie Alder, and Coulter Branham; and great-grandchildren, Maebre Crosby and Paisley Crosby.
