Obituary of David Carroll Crawford

David Carroll Crawford, 74, of Lugoff, and formerly of Blythewood and Irmo, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Born in Mullins, SC, he was the son of the late Alonzo David Crawford and Etha Belle Martin Crawford, and the husband of Debra Elaine Crawford. David attended Radiate Church. He was a Shriner, a Mason, and a member of the York Rite. David spent his working life as a sales representative, operating various distribution routes around the Columbia area where he was beloved by his customers. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and he also had a passion for cars and motorcycles. David loved animals, especially his dogs, but his greatest joy was being a grandpa and great-grandpa. He loved his family dearly and cherished spending time with them.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, David Carroll Crawford, Jr (Regina) and Derrek Blaine Crawford (Christine); his step-daughter, Brandy Tara Mangum; grandchildren, D.J. Crawford, Jacob Crawford (Brittany), Riley Crawford, Brittney Turner (Joseph), and Jackson Mangum; and great-grandchildren, Briggs Turner and Elijah Crawford.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Diane Fabrizio and Janice Renee Bozard.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, officiated by Rev. James Melton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 3:00pm.
