Lennie J. “Red” BURROUS, 75, of Round O, SC, died Saturday, April 6, 2024.
Born October 7, 1948, in West Branch Township, Galeton, PA, he was the son of Lester Judson and Virginia M. Knickerbocker Burrous. A graduate of Galeton Area High School, he attended National Hardwood Lumber Association Inspector Training School in Memphis, TN and was employed in the lumber business his entire working career.
Surviving are: seven siblings, Marie Sutton, Mary (Jan) Shope, Seth (Susan) Burrous, Margo (Mark) Germino, Scott (Gladys) Burrous, Chester (Pamela) Burrous, and Faun (Michael) James; nieces and nephews; and his friend and companion, Teresa Roberson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-father, Francis M. “Jake” Johnston; two sisters, Janet A. Taylor and Ruth B. Soule; and four brothers, Judson J. Burrous, Dell Robert Burrous, Ronald L. Burrous, and John J. Burrous.
Services will be private. Memorials may be made to any animal care sanctuary.

My treasured step-father. I’ll always regret noting setting things straight with you, I hope you understand, hopefully, when we meet on the other side, we can have that talk.
Thank you Amanda Michelle for reaching out to me, for the letter and the photos. Lennie was a true Renaissance man, brilliant and capable of doing anything except beating cancer. We shared almost 24 years together. We all have regrets! Remember the good years always. Those were years he loved you as his own. Make him proud that he made a difference in your life. We both loved an incredible man!
