LUGOFF- A graveside service with military honors for Kenneth Edward Buchanan, 77, will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10:00 am in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the DAV.
Mr. Buchanan passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born in Cottonwood, Alabama, on August 19, 1946, he was the son of the late Edward Buchanan and Ella Mae Hudspeth Nail. Mr. Buchanan was a veteran in The United States Army where he served for 7 years. He enjoyed tinkering on cars, trucks and engines, riding his motorcycle, shooting, but above all else he enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his beloved family.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 23 years, Judy Darby-Buchanan; children, Feather Moore (Bill) of Clearmont, FL, Tina Wilkerson (Paul) of Ocala, FL, Brandon Johnston (Jessica) of Lugoff, Michael Johnston (Kristina) of Elgin, Anthony Anderson Jr. (Michelle) of Columbia, Tiffany Anderson of Columbia, Melissa Williams of Elgin; sisters, Lily Powell of Jacksonville, FL, Barbara McPherson (Hugh) of Ocala, Fl; 23 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
