Obituary of Irene Branham Hough

LUGOFF- A funeral service for Irene Branham Creel Hough, 86, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Springvale Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Todd Horton and The Rev. Larry Frazier will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springvale Baptist Church Cemetery.

    Mrs. Hough passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Born in Lugoff, she was a daughter of the late Rubin Branham, Jr. and Hannah Reynolds Branham. Mrs. Hough was a cosmetologist, and a member of Springvale Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers, canning, camping, traveling to the mountains and the beach, and especially spending time with her family.

    Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Willliam “Bill” Hough; children, Debra Davis (Butch), Barbara Susie Mathis (Mitch), John Greg Creel, Sr., Larry Creel (Patty), Dennis Creel all of Lugoff; 12 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Henry Creel; siblings, Earl Branham, James “Jim” Branham, William “Sam” Branham; and a daughter-in-law, Donna Creel.
