Obituary of Freddie Lee Shannon

LUGOFF – A memorial service for Freddie Lee Shannon, 80, will be held Monday at 4:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Mr. Shannon passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late James Lee and Lenore Higgins Shannon. Mr. Shannon was a hard worker and retired from Vulcan Industries after 47 years of service. He enjoyed talking with people and yardwork.

Surviving are his wife, Willadean Holloman Shannon; step-children, Rusty Windham (Terrie), Wyman Windham (Ursula), Todd Windham (Angie); grandchildren, Ashley Rose, Cody Windham, Wesley Windham; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, James Michael Shannon.
