Obituary of Vivian Smith Busbee

COLUMBIA- A graveside service for Vivian Smith Busbee, 91, will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Robbie Green will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverbanks Zoo & Garden.

Mrs. Busbee, wife of the late Robert Leroy “Buzz” Busbee, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Born in West Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Carl Preston and Sally Ruth Smith. Mrs. Busbee was a member of Earlwood Baptist Church, Columbia. She enjoyed gardening, needle work, reading and taking care of her home. She and her husband enjoyed long weekends taking photos of wildlife and flowers around S.C.

She is survived by nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Carl Preston Smith, Jr., Marjorie Smith, and Catherine Smith Oswald. Her sweet personality and quick wit will be missed by her caretaker, Scott Jacobs.
