Christopher Thomas “Chris” Copeland, age 55, of Rock Hill, S.C. and formerly of Bethune, S.C. lost his battle to cancer on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at CMC Main, Charlotte, N.C. Born in Jacksonville, FL to Bennie Thomas Copeland and Debbie Synder Copeland on September 26, 1969. He was a graduate of Bethune High School and Clemson University. He was a beekeeper and attended Impact Church, Rock Hill, S.C.

He is survived in addition to his parents by 3 children, Alexander T. “Alex” (Jessica) Copeland, Christopher A. “Andy” Copeland and Margaret M. “Maggie” (Trey) Dean; 2 grandchildren, Katherine Anne Johnson and Thomas E. “Eli” Dean; his brother, Gregory Dennis (Debbie) Copeland; nieces and nephews; his fiancé, Christy Spannbauer and his ex-wife, Victoria E. (Vicki) Wynn. Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Copeland, his maternal grandparents, Ida Bernice Snyder and Sandford Monroe Snyder and his paternal grandparents, Dorothy Copeland and Harold Copeland.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Impact Church, Rock Hill, S.C. Pastor Jason Brinkley will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.

A graveside committal service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Bethune, S.C. Rev. Jackie Knight will officiate. The family will greet friends following the committal in the cemetery.

The burial will follow in the cemetery.
