ELGIN- Dale Alan “Sarge” Leneave, 69, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Born in Rantoul, IL, he was a son of the late Herchel Leon and Diane Beatrice McCutcheon Leneave. Dale retired from the U.S. Army after 20 plus years of service as a MSG. Dale was a member of the VFW Post 11079 in Elgin. He enjoyed woodworking and reading about military history.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Heather Marion Carlson Leneave; daughters, Jennifer Wariner (Brad), Jessica Leneave (Brent), Jane Leneave; a sister, Audrey Walstrom (Ken); a brother, Hershel Leneave (Debra); and 5 grandchildren.

    A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local VA office.
