Sarah Elizabeth Garcia Obituary

ELGIN- Sarah Elizabeth Garcia, 63, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Born in Greenville, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Herbert Miller and Margaret McLemore Miller. Sarah was a member of Radiate Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. 

Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Remsy Munib; children, Brian Sharpe (Shannon) of Columbia, Stacie Guillen of Elgin, Kristy Escoto (Marvin) of Elgin, Justin Howard of Elgin; grandchildren, Alexander Spivey, Brigman Guillen, Joshua Guillen, Galex Guillen, Jason Escoto, Melania Escoto, Oliver Escoto; and a sister, Debra Birchard (Jeff) of Elgin. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, John Edward Miller and Billy Jay “B.J.” Goodwin.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Brandon Goff will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service  from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
