Howard Rabon Obituary

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Clarence “Howard” Rabon, 89, will be held on Friday January 9, 2026 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Camden. 

He is survived by his daughter Rochella (William) Mood, a son Chad H.(Shannon) Rabon and one granddaughter Jordan Marie Rabon. He is also survived by his sisters Mary Nell Branham and Earline Carter and his brother Buddy (Shirley) Rabon.  He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Nellie Rabon, sisters Betty Boyce, Myrtle Branham and his brother Roland Rabon

Howard loved his church where he served in numerous capacities since 1958. He especially loved his time singing in the choir. He was employed with West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company and the Dupont Company where he retired in 1998. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, fishing and attending concerts and watching college football.  

For the last 4 years Howard was a resident at English Meadows Assisted Living facility where he had many friends and was always sharing a joke.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

All are invited to a luncheon in the church fellowship hall following the service to visit with the family.
