Jerry West Obituary

CAMDEN- A celebration of life service for Jerry Michael West, 76, will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at New Life Christian Outreach. The Rev. Derrick Proctor will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. 

Mr. West passed away on January 6, 2026. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Ernest James West, Jr. and Elizabeth Kelly Cobb. Mr. West served in the Army National Guard and was a member of New Life Christian Outreach. Jerry enjoyed collecting cars, painting, buying, refinishing and selling antiques, and watching westerns. 

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Zyphia Tyner West; sons, Michael West (Megan) of Charleston, Jarred West (Amanda) of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter Brittany West (Stephen Price) of Camden; grandchild, Graley West; and siblings, Glenn West (Patty), Becky West, and Tina West.
