Robert “Robby” Horton Obituary

Robert Wilson “Robby” Horton, 72, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2026. Born in Orangeburg, he was a son of the late Oscar Robert and Judith Young Horton. Robby was a member of Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed volunteering his time at the Clemson Extension and horseback riding.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Justin Horton (Mary Jo) of Savannah, GA, Jake Horton of Camden; granddaughter, Kaitlin Parnell; sisters, Edith Horton, Suzi Switzer (Keith); and brothers, Mike Horton (Carolyn) and Mark Horton (Robin).

A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the 4-H Club of Kershaw County.
